Abby Aspell, BA, MAAbby is a graduate from the University of Florida where she earned her master’s degree in arts in Medicine. Abby studied the various ways in which art practices can benefit one’s health and wellbeing, and completed her capstone research on how theatre interventions can increase social cohesion and self confidence among residents in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. In addition to her studies, Abby worked in the activities department of a skilled nursing facility where she engaged with residents in a multitude of life enrichment programs and assisted in developing and facilitating their care plans. Furthermore, she has previously engaged older adults in improvisational theatre workshops during the COVID outbreak to promote social connection.

After seeing firsthand how complex the healthcare process can be for older adults, not only in her work, but also through her own personal experience with her grandfather, Abby made it her aim to support her clients and minimize these complications. Abby’s experience and education provide her with a unique perspective on healthcare and a passion for providing holistic, compassionate, and client-centered advocacy. Her goal as an Aging Life Care Manager is to advance her client’s quality of life through navigating their healthcare concerns and advocating for their needs.

Abby is a native of Pinellas County. In addition to theatre, she loves to spend her time at the beach or outdoors, kayaking, hiking, SCUBA diving, listening to music, and reading.
